sunny day in caseros

DSC02765DSC02743
I actually sat outside without a coat and chatted with all of the missionaries. Inside the church, it was much colder. Presidente came outside at one time to warm up a little. One of the missionaries told me that this was the first time we ever had a chance to talk because he has been serving out in campo. When I asked him about the difference between the work in campo and the work in the city, he said that normally people invite you into their houses to talk in campo, but it was another matter to attend church. In the city, people don’t generally invite you into their houses, but if they do, the chances that they will attend church are much greater.

possibilities

It actually seems like we have Missionary Leadership Council every two weeks. Can it already be the fourth Friday of the month? Here they come!DSC02696DSC02702DSC02698DSC02699DSC02705DSC02697DSC02700DSC02701DSC02703DSC02706
Someday I should post the actual agenda for this meeting. Today I will summarize this way:
8:15 Pastries and Juice
9:00 Welcome
9:15 Reports
10:00 Important Points
11:30 Hermana Carter
I read that it was the 25th anniversary of the Nike slogan, “Just Do It.” We changed the words of the “Summer Nights” video to apply to Missionary Work. Each companionship worked on their own copy and it was really interesting to see how wonderfully they all turned out and actually, how different they all turned out as well…just by changing a few words!
It was pretty easy just to talk about the “Possibilities” in the mission as a prelude to the second video.
12:00 Lunch
1:00 Counseling for the future
3:00 Final Words

8.15 facturas y jugo
9.00 bienvenido
9.15 rendir cuenta
10.00 asuntos importantes
11.30 Hna carter

12.00 almuerzo
1.00 concilio acerca del futuro
3.00 palabras finales del presidente

hello moreno

Just when we were hoping that spring was here, winter came back with a vengeance…it was so cold today and the next few days it is supposed to get progressively colder. The wind was crazy and we actually had to keep the doors locked to keep them from blowing open. Goodness, I ended up being the keeper of the door. Brrrrr!
I only had to chase down one companionship that I forgot to photograph.
These missionaries are working hard. I found it really interesting chatting with so many of them that have been visa waiters. What a wide range of experiences they are having!

When I finished my part, the missionaries went upstairs to wait for their turn with Presidente.

half of gonzalez catan

DSC02663DSC02665DSC02668DSC02670DSC02673DSC02675
The other half of the missionaries in Gonzalez Catan have been seeing Presidente on Mondays in the office, but we got to see this group today.
I think one of the hardest times for the missionaries is when they are not feeling well. They want to work and they can’t or shouldn’t. One of the elders told me that he had a rough night the past week and he prayed that he would be able to go forward the next day. He was so happy to report that all was well with him. However, I know that other times, the missionaries have to exercise patience as it often takes time for their bodies to heal.
