After all of our classes today, we had a field trip…to the Montevideo Temple.
I have really missed the opportunity to go to the Temple. When we received our mission call, we learned that the Buenos Aires Temple was being remodeled, but at that time, the expectation was that the work would be completed before we arrived. We have been here almost ten months now. We are hoping for an open house sometime in September this year. It will be a great blessing to have a functioning temple in Argentina again. I have to say, that we are really excited to be a part of the re-opening, as well.
Elder Arnold made a presentation in the chapel near the temple. The temple in Uruguay is also temporarily closed right now, for cleaning, however, they agreed to allow us to come this evening.
It seemed as if all of the temple workers were waiting to greet us as we entered. I was powerfully struck with the emotion that I was home…and, all of the kisses and abrazos only added to that sentiment.
Después de nuestras clases hoy hicimos un viaje al templo de Montevideo. He extrañado la oportunidad de ir al Templo. Cuando recibimos nuestro llamado supimos que el templo de Buenos Aires estaba siendo remodelado pero, en aquel momento la esperanza fue que la obra iba a terminarse antes de nuestra llegada. Hemos estado aquí casi 10 meses ahora. Estamos esperando una casa abierta en septiembre este ano.
Va a ser una bendición grande tener un templo funcionando en Argentina otra vez. Quiero decir que estamos muy animados de tener una parte de la rededicación también.
Elder Arnold hizo una presentación en la capilla cerca del templo. En realidad el templo en Uruguay esta cerrado un ratito ahora para limpiarlo, sin embargo, ellos nos invitaron a venir esta noche.
Parece como que todos los trabajadores estaban esperando para conocernos cuando llegamos. Tuve una impresión muy fuerte que estaba en mi hogar y todos los besos y abrazos agregaron a mis sentimientos.
