In the past, the office elders have made funny little posts about life without Presidente and the Hermana when we have been away.
I received a couple of pictures this time as well, but the fact is that when we returned from the mission presidents’ seminar, the office was more organized than ever.
I had a little laugh when our Secretary of Materials told me that he had been “playing tetris”. We received over 70 boxes over the past few days with various supplies, but they had all been perfectly stacked and organized.
A while ago, one of the previous assistants told me that he never imagined the scope of work that the office elders do. It is a little bit like when I am talking with missionaries at a zone conference and they ask me what a “normal” day is like. I remind them that we are doing, more or less, exactly this ten times. Then everyone laughs.
The office elders often forego their P-day to be able to complete things that are needed to keep the mission running smoothly. However, we recently invited the secretaries along, when we went to the zoo with our grandkids.
There was a bird at the zoo called a secretario. It might be called that because it looks like it has orange glasses and carries sticks in it’s mouth like someone might carry a pencil.
We keep the office busy with all kinds of projects and planning for future events. In addition to their busy days with us, they spend their evenings working in their areas. If the truth be known, I think all of them would prefer to spend their days as well as their evenings in the field. We appreciate their love and sacrifice that makes the mission better for everyone.
En momentos pasados, los elderes de la oficina han hecho posts divertidos y pequeños acerca de la vida sin el Presidente y la Hermana cuando hemos estado en un otro lugar.
Recibí algunas fotos esta vez también, pero el hecho es que cuando regresamos del seminario de los presidentes, la oficina fue mas organizada que nunca.
Fue muy divertido cuando alguno de ellos me dijo que el ha estado jugando tetris. Recibimos unas 70 cajas estos días con cosas para la misión, pero todas han sido organizado perfectamente.
Hace tiempo, uno de los asistentes anteriores me dijo que el nunca imagino el alcance del trabajo que los elderes de la oficina hacen. Es un poco como cuando estoy hablando con los misioneros en una conferencia de la zona y ellos me preguntan que pasa en un día normal. Les dije que estamos haciendo, mas o menos este día diez veces, entonces todos se rieron.
Muchas veces los elderes de la oficina no tienen sus P days para tener tiempo para cumplir las cosas que son necesarias para que la misión corra fácilmente. Sin embargo, recién les invitamos a los secretarios a ir con nosotros cuando fuimos al zoo con nuestros nietos.
Había un pájaro allá que se llamaba un secretario. Tal vez es porque parece que tiene anteojos naranjas y lleva ramitas en su boca como un lápiz.
La oficina esta muy ocupada con varios proyectos y planeamiento para eventos futuros. Ademas de sus días ocupados con nosotros, pasan sus noches trabajando en sus áreas. Pienso que la verdad es todos hubieran preferido pasar sus días y sus noches en el campo.
Estamos agradecidos por su amor y sacrificio entonces la misión es mejor para todos.
