Although there are fruit and vegetable stands, stores and huts everywhere we go, these capture the essence of life in campo. Note the dog.
The Argentine national drink is made from yerba mate -- green, finely chopped leaves that infuse water with an earthy and slightly bitter flavor. It
seems like people drink it everywhere and all day long, except in restaurants, interestingly. One helping of packed yerba yields about 10 drinks, so, a thermos of hot water is always needed to refill the mate cup. The water should be heated to the point just before boiling. So, if you happen to be on the road, a quick stop at the hot water machine is essential. (Since it is a rule from the Area Presidency, missionaries do not drink mate.)
It actually seems like the clouds sit lower in the sky here.
Last of all, is a pretty picture of the city that we took while eating dinner in Puerto Madero a couple of weeks ago.

La bebida nacional de Argentina esta hecha de yerba mate...hojas verdes, bien cortadas que cambian el agua a un sabor de la tierra y un poco amargo. Parece que la gente lo bebe en todos lados y todo el día menos en restaurantes, que interesante!
Una porción de yerba rinde 10 bebidas entonces el agua caliente siempre es necesaria para rellenar la taza de mate. El agua necesita estar justo antes de hervir. Entonces si alguien esta viajando, una parada corta por la maquina de agua caliente es esencial. Porque es una regla de la Presidencia del Area, los misioneros no beben mate.
En realidad parece que las nubes están mas cerca de la tierra acá.
