cartography exercise

With the help of Presidente’s secretary, I thought it might be interesting to place a few points of interest in the mission, on a map of Utah. If you know Salt Lake, you will have an idea of the distances from one to the other. Of course, all of these are liberal approximations.
If we have the Buenos Aires Temple up there just north of the Salt Lake Airport, the mission offices would be just about where the LDS church office buildings are located. The mission home would be near Olympus High School and downtown Buenos Aires would be out there in the area of the Oquirrh Mountain Temple.
There are about 2 million people that live on the Wasatch Front, and there are about 13 million people that live in Buenos Aires. Buenos Aires is rated one the the 20 largest cities in the world and the most visited city in South America, so it should be no surprise that there is a lot of traffic and a lot of people here.

Although it is not shown on the map, the airport, Ministro Pistarini International, more widely known as Ezeiza International Airport, (because it is in the Ezeiza District of Buenos Aires)  is just above the Buenos Aires Temple.
We had to turn the map of Buenos Aires to get the same perspective as on the map of Salt Lake, so in this case, our mission is at the top of the map, which is actually west.

Con la ayuda del secretario del presidente, pensé que va a ser interesante poner algunos puntos de interés en la misión en un mapa de Utah. Si conoce Lago Salado, va a tener una idea de los distancias de un lugar al otro. Por supuesto, todas estas son aproximaciones liberales.
Si tenemos el templo de Buenos Aires arriba justo norte del aeropuerto de Lago Salado, las oficinas de la misión van a estar justo donde están las oficinas de la iglesia SUD. La casa de la misión va a estar muy cerca de la escuela Olympus High y la capital de Buenos Aires va a estar en el area del templo Oquirrh Mountain.
Hay mas o menos 2 millones de personas que viven en el Wasatch Front, y hay mas o menos 13 millones de personas que viven en Buenos Aires. Buenos Aires is una de las 20 ciudades mas grandes en el mundo y la cuidad con la mayor cantidad de visitantes en sur América entonces no va a ser una sorpresa que haya un montón de trafico y un montón de gente acá.
Aunque no esta en la mapa, el aeropuerto, Ministro Pistarini Internacional, mas conocido como Ezeiza Internacional porque esta en el distrito de Ezeiza y esta justo arriba el templo de Buenos Aires.
Tenemos que doblar el mapa de Buenos Aires para tener la misma perspectiva que el mapa del Lago Salado entonces en ese caso, nuestra misión esta arriba del mapa, lo cual es actualmente oeste.
