a good week end

It is always wonderful when we have the opportunity to attend baptisms. It is a blessing in our mission that we have so many that it would be impossible to attend them all. I always take a moment and think about the others around the mission and imagine their joy, as well. This Saturday we were in Lujan.
I especially like it when spouses and children of members get baptized, but the best of all is when the whole family is baptized together.
Actually, in this case, the two youngest children aren’t yet eight years old yet, but they have a niece and nephew that live with them that were also baptized. The missionaries had received a reference, but noticed a dad working in his garden in the house next door to the reference. They talked with him and made an appointment to come back and talk with the family. That was three weeks ago. Since then, they have been studying and learning and changing.
Our other missionaries baptized a father and his two children.
While not captured on film, you can trust me when I say that the smiles on the faces of the missionaries and future members were the biggest and brightest smiles you could ever see. We could certainly feel the love among them. The baptismal service was attended by many of the members who waited inside while we recorded the moment just before the special meeting began.
Siempre es buenísimo cuando tenemos la oportunidad asistir a bautismos. Es una bendición que tenemos mucho en nuestra misión entonces es imposible asistir a todos. Siempre por un momentito pienso acerca de los otros en la misión e imagino su gozo, también. Esta sábado estábamos en Luján.

Me gusta cuando los esposos y niños de miembros son bautizados, pero mas que nada, cuando una familia completa es bautizada junta.

En realidad, en este caso los dos menores todavía no tienen 8 anos pero ellos tienen dos sobrinos que viven con ellos que también fueron bautizados. Los misioneros recibieron una referencia pero notaron un padre trabajando en su jardín en la casa al lado de la referencia. Hablaron con el e hicieron una cita para volver y hablar con la familia. Fue tres semanas atrás.j Desde entonces ellos ha estado estudiando y aprendiendo y cambiando. Nuestros otros misioneros se bautizaron un padre con sus dos niños.

No se ve en la foto, pero pueden creerme cuando digo que las sonrisas en las caras de los misioneros y los miembros futuros son las mas grandes y brillantes que pueden ver en cualquier escenario. Seguramente podemos sentir el amor entre ellos. Había muchos miembros que asistieron el servicio bautismo, pero en este momento ellos están adentro de la capilla esperando mientras nosotros sacamos algunas fotos antes de la reunión especial.
