The missing passports were found and the eight that were supposed to arrive last week, came in this morning. Also, we got another missionary from Brazil. The area offices took them all away from us, immediately. They went to the city with the intention to complete documents for paperwork. Presidente and I seldom go to the areas offices in Capital but we had a couple things we needed to do there later this morning and ran into our group again while they were eating empanadas. I got a chance to chat with them for about 20 minutes while waiting for Presidente to finish his 2 minute errand…you know how that goes. It was really great and I can’t wait to spend more time with them tomorrow when we meet them at the offices at 8 am for an orientation day.
Don’t know if you have been keeping track, but this makes 27 missionaries that we have received since the last transfer! We are very happy about it as you can imagine and it also actually takes us to an all time high number in the mission. Nevertheless, we have 24 missionaries still waiting and next week when the real transfer dates hits, I am sorry to say that the number of waiters will go back over 40 again. We are just totally flexible here in Buenos Aires West and told the missionary department to send anyone that is available as soon as possible and everyday we look forward to more good news.
Los pasaportes perdidos fueron encontrados y los 8 que iban a llegar la semana pasada llegaron esta mañana. También otro misionero de Brazil. Las oficinas del area los llevaron a Capital inmediatamente. Fueron para hacer sus documentos. El Presidente y yo casi nunca vamos a las oficinas del area pero tuvimos algunas cosas que necesitábamos hacer allá mas tarde y encontramos nuestro grupo otra vez mientras ellos estaban comiendo empanadas.
Tuve la oportunidad de charlar con ellos por 20 minutos mientras esperaba al Presidente con su trabajo de 2 minutos...sabe que es. Fue buenísimo y no puedo esperar pasar mas tiempo con ellos mañana cuando nos juntemos en las oficinas a las 8 para un día de orientación.
No se si Uds. están contando pero recibimos 27 desde el traslado.
Estamos muy felices como pueden imaginar y también tenemos mas misioneros que nunca en nuestro tiempo en la misión. Sin embargo todavía tenemos 24 esperando y la semana que viene el numero va a subir arriba de 40 otra vez cuando tengamos la fecha de nuestro traslado real. Somos muy flexibles acá en la misión BAO y les dijimos el departamento misional de la iglesia que ellos pueden mandar a quien esta disponible lo mas pronto posible y cada día esperamos buenas noticias.
