When the last group of missionaries went home, Elder Cooper told me that not all of his baptisms were converts. Then in all sincerity he said that the ones that were converts, would have been worth a mission of ten years.
In an incredible tender mercy, one of those families showed up at the offices on the morning of his last day in the mission. He had so much joy visiting with them. The dad and mom both have callings in their ward and the entire family is looking forward to the time when they are able to go to the temple. They have a 19-year- old daughter that they were bringing to the offices. She was the first in her family to join the church just 14 months ago, and her family followed the next month.
Now that she has helped to bring her own family to the gospel, she has accepted a request to be a mini-missionary with Sister Danes this transfer and bring the gospel to other souls. She is a fabulous mini. We feel so very blessed to have Hermana Gomez with us.
Doctrine and Covenants 18:15
15 And if it so be that you should labor all your days in crying repentance unto this people, and bring, save it be one soul unto me, how great shall be your joy with him in the kingdom of my Father!
she is a wonerful girl and i am sure that she was an even better missionary.
