in comes a waiter

It is interesting that at certain times of the year, we receive most of our missionaries from the MTC in Provo, and at other times of the year, we receive most of our missionaries from CCMs throughout Central and South America. Right now, we are in the part of the year when we receive them from Latin America, except that we had one missionary waiting for the the past eight weeks in the United States. Normally when missionaries come in out of sequence with the transfer, we add them to the next group when we have our orientation, but this time we made an exception, because being new to the mission, we thought his language skills would not quite be on par with the Latin missionaries. Presidente and I spent a great morning with our new elder and then the office missionaries gave him additional training this afternoon. However, he will be on his way with his new companion tomorrow.


 Es interesante que en algunos momentos del ano, recibimos la mayoría de nuestros misioneros del CCM en Provo, Utah, y en otros momentos del ano recibimos la mayoría de nuestros misioneros de CCMs de central y sur America. ahora estamos en el parte del ano cuando recibimos a los de Latina America, excepto uno que estaba esperando 8 semanas en los EEUU. Normalmente cuando los misioneros vienen en el medio del traslado, los agregamos al próximo grupo cuando tenemos la orientación, pero hicimos una excepción porque el es nuevo a la misión pensábamos que sus conocimientos del idioma no iban a ser igual con los misioneros latinos. El Presidente y yo pasamos una mañana buena con nuestro elder nuevo y después los misioneros de la oficina le dieron mas entrenamiento por la tarde. Sin embargo, mañana el va a ir a su area con su compañero nuevo.
