I am sorry to say that we have had our fourth case of appendicitis in the mission. When our elder told us that he had been having stomach pains and the medicine that they gave him at the hospital wasn’t helping, Presidente suggested a blood test and the possibility of appendicitis. As it turned out, his area is about three hours from downtown Buenos Aires. I doubt that it was a coincidence that his Papi in the mission is one of our office elders. He along with one of the assistants drove out to campo and brought him back to the city for his operation, of course, to remove his appendix.
We were able to chat with him after his surgery even though he was still under the influence of the drugs they gave him. It was quite entertaining when he asked us if he could have a “happy meal”. It reminded me of when I returned from a surgery and asked my sister why she stole my toothbrush.
Our elder will be at the mission home for a couple of days. Then he will move in with the office elders until next week when he returns to the hospital for a check up and to have his stitches removed.
Meanwhile, another one of the office elders has a temporary assignment in campo as the investigators in the area are continuing with their progression.
Estoy triste de decir que tuvimos nuestro cuarto caso de apendicitis en la mision. Cuando nuestro elder nos dijo que ha tenido dolor de panza y la medicina que el recibió en hospital no estaba ayundandole, el Presidente sugirió un examen de sangre y la posibilidad de apendicitis. Su area esta como 3 horas del centro de Buenos Aires. No tengo duda que no es una coincidencia que su Papi en la mision es uno de los elderes en la oficina. El, con uno de los asistentes, manejo al campo y lo llevo a la ciudad para su operación, por supuesto, sacar su apéndice.
Podemos charlar con el después de su operación aunque el todavía estaba bajo la influencia de las drogas que le dieron. Era muy divertido cuando el nos pidió si el podía tener una cajita feliz. Recuerdo cuando yo regrese de una operación y le pregunte a mi hermana porque ella saco mi cepillo de dientes. Nuestro elder va a quedar en la casa de la
