training at the temple

Our mission has been asked to send 48 missionaries to help out off and on over the next few weeks at the Temple. Twenty-four elders and twenty-four hermanas. Well, we only have 22 hermanas at the moment, so that was easy. We have a lot of elders though. They are all great and we wish we could send them all to have the experience.
However, they will all have the opportunity to go to the Temple Open House with a family that they are teaching.



The training was at the Temple grounds with the other two missions in Buenos Aires. We met up with our missionaries early this morning at Ramos Mejia where they boarded a bus that we had chartered.
At the temple grounds, we met in a conference room over at the CCM. It was a joyous occasion to see friends and MTC companions that are serving in the other missions.




It was the first time that Presidente, Brianna and I have been in a Celestial Room together. However, she was sealed to us in the Florida Temple when she was four and still remembers that day very clearly.


It was an emotional time, not only for us, but for our missionaries, as well. Many tears of joy were shed as we stood together for quite some time enjoying the peace and beauty.
At some point, pictures will be available online and when I find out about that, I will be sure and post about it.
When our missionaries were working at the Temple over the past couple of weeks, there were lots of jobs. Obviously, some of them were more “interesting” than others, however all of them were thrilled with the opportunity to serve.

The Open House begins this Saturday, and we are ready!

Pidieron a nuestra misión a mandar 48 misioneros para ayudar algunas veces loas próximas semanas al Templo. 24 hermanas y 24 elderes. Bueno, tenemos solamente 22 hermanas entonces es fácil. Pero, tenemos un montón de elderes. Ellos son buenísimos y esperamos poder mandar todo para tener la experiencia.
Sin embargo todos van a tener la oportunidad de ir a la Casa Abierta con una familia que ellos están enseñando.

El entrenamiento era el sitio del Templo con las otras misiones de Buenos Aires. Encontramos nuestros misioneros muy temprano esta mañana en Ramos Mejia done ellos fueron en un bus que hemos contratado.

En el sitio del Templo tuvimos una reunión en un cuarto del CCM. Fue una ocasión muy gozosa ver amigos y compañeros allá que están sirviendo en las otras misiones.
Fue la primera vez que el Presidente, Brianna y yo estuvimos en un cuarto celestial juntos. Sin embargo ella fue sellada a nosotros en el Templo de Orlando, Florida cuando tuvo 4 anos y ella todavía recuerda este día muy claramente.

Fue un momento emocional, no solamente para nosotros, pero para nuestros misioneros también. Había muchas la grimas mientras nosotros nos paramos juntos por algunos momentos disfrutando la paz y el hermoso cuarto.

Algún día fotos van a estar disponibles por internet y cuando las encuentro, seguramente voy a darles el sitio.

Cuando nuestros misioneros estuvieron trabajando en el Templo, loas semanas pasadas, había un montón de trabajo. Obvio, algunos eran mas interesantes que otros, sin embargo, todos estaban muy emocionados con la oportunidad de servir.
La Casa Abierta empieza este Sábado y estamos listos.
