Since the zone leaders know that zone leader council is a stocking feet event, they have to make sure and Choose The Right socks this morning.
This group of young men are so appreciative of every little thing. I cooked four turkeys yesterday so that we could have turkey/avocado sandwiches today. They made me feel like it was the best meal they have ever had! The Latin missionaries are always interested to see what kind of food we will have at the council! There is no fruit in Argentina that approaches cranberries, but nobody seemed to miss it or mind. (Personally, I miss cranberry everything!)
In spite of the sunshine, it was cold, and we hauled the coats upstairs and downstairs twice so that they could go outside and eat lunch on the patio.
The zone leaders work hard to be successful in their own areas and they also teach and train others how to be successful in their areas. It’s tough duty, and they come once a month to return and report officially, but, of course, Presidente talks with them much more often than that.
I like getting caught up on what is going on with their families. How was girl’s camp for your sister? Did your brother graduate? Are they going on vacation without you? ;) And I am always trying to remember to speak to the Latin missionaries in English, so that they can practice and trying to remember to speak to the English speaking missionaries in Spanish, so that I can practice!
When one of the missionaries told me I was improving quite a bit, I was really happy, right until the moment that the housekeeper brought the ice cream up from the basement that she had stored in the refrigerator the past two days…really…I thought I said to store it in the freezer! Soooo…we had apple pie with melted ice cream for dessert!
Just a few last minute instructions from Presidente and then they are off to do what they do best!

Porque los líderes de las zonas saben que el concilio es un evento con medias solamente, ellos necesitan haz lo justo esta mañana.
Esto grupo de jóvenes adultos están muy agradecidos de cada cosita. Cocine cuatro pavos ayer entonces podemos tener sandwiches de pavo y palta hoy. Ellos ayudaron me a sentir que fue la mejor comida de sus vidas! Los misioneros latinos siempre están buscando ver que tipo de comida vamos a tener en el concilio! No hay frutos en Argentina como cranberries, pero nadie los extraña. Personalmente, extraño cranberry todo.
A pesar del sol estaba frío y llevamos los abrigos arriba y abajo dos veces entonces ellos pudieron ir afuera y almorzar.
Los líderes de las zonas trabajan dura para tener éxito en sus propias áreas y también ellos enseñan y entrenan a otros como tener éxitos en sus áreas. Es obra difícil y ellos vienen cada mes y hacen un informe oficial, pero, por supuesto, el Presidente habla con ellos muchas mas veces durante el mes.
Me gusta mucho charlar acerca de que esta pasando con sus familias. Como fue el camp de su hermana, Su hermana ya se graduó, Ellos van a tener sus vacaciones sin Ud. Y siempre estoy tratando recordar hablar con los misioneros latinos en ingles entonces ellos pueden practicar y tratando de recordar hablar con los misioneros ingles en castellano, entonces yo puedo practicar!
Cuando alguno de los misioneros me dijo que estaba mejorando, estaba muy feliz, justo al momento cuando la mujer de la casa me trajo el helado arriba de sótano que ella había guardado en la heladera hace dos días...en serio, pensé que le dije que guardo en el frezar! Entonces...tuvimos tarta de manazas con salsa de helado de postre.
Algunas instrucciones finales del Presidente y ellos están listos para hacer lo que ellos hacen mejores...encontrar, ensenar y bautizar.
