This time around in the zone conferences, my talk was about using the Book of Mormon and based on the scriptures in 1Nephi 13:37 and then 36. The missionaries found scripture references about the gospel (repentance and baptism) and then we went to the Bible to the book of Daniel for a reminder about the stone in Daniel 2:34 and 2:45. We talked about another stone in Daniel 6:17 and then I showed a short clip, which is actually just a picture of a picture and a portion of the music that this picture inspired. We shared our feelings about the challenges, ie lions, in their lives and the inspiration we feel remembering this well-known story.
We finished up back in 1Nephi 14:1 and 14:14.
While Presidente did training throughout the day, he finished up after me with teaching about salvation. He showed a video that we put together using President Packer’s conference talk from October 2012 and some of the new church Bible videos that are available on lds.org
He also referenced Elder McConkie’s talk on the Three Gardens. However, the best part for me were his very own feelings and words.
We love being with the missionaries and while much of the training that we do is quite practical in nature, our very favorite moments are the ones when we can share our feelings and our love for the beautiful principles of the gospel.
Es una frustración que es muy difícil para compartir las experiencias espirituales que tenemos con nuestros misioneros.
Esta vez en las conferencias hablo acerca de usar el libro de mormón con la fundación de las escrituras en 1Nefi 13.37 y después 13.36. Los misioneros encontraron referencias escriturales acerca del evangelio (el arrepentimiento y el bautismo) y después buscamos en la Biblia en el libro de Daniel para recordar acerca de la piedra en Daniel 2.34 y 2.45. Hablamos acerca de otra piedra en Daniel 6.17 y después les mostré un video corto lo cual en realidad es nada mas que un dibujo de Daniel y la música que lo inspiro. Compartimos nuestros sentimientos acerca de los desafíos es decir leones en sus vidas y la inspiración que sentimos al recordar esta historia bien conocida. Terminamos en 1Nefi 14.1 y 14.14.
Aunque el Presidente hizo entrenamientos algunas veces hoy, el termino después de mi con enseñanzas acerca de la salvación. El les mostró un video que hicimos con el discurso del Elder Packer de Octubre 2012 y algunos de los vídeos nuevos acerca del la Biblia que están disponibles en lds.org
También uso las ideas del Elder McConkie y los tres jardines. Sin embargo la mejor parte para mi fueron sus propios sentimientos y palabras.
Nos encanto estar con los misioneros y aunque mucho del entrenamiento que hacemos es muy practico, nuestros momentos favoritos son aquellos cuando podemos compartir nuestros sentimientos y nuestro amor por los principios hermosos del evangelio.
