Winter arrived last night. I have a feeling that it is here for a while, not like that random super cold day we had a few weeks back. When we left the house this morning it was 12C, but when we arrived in Chivilcoy two hours later it was 5C. We cranked up the little wall heaters and some of us kept our coats on. So, the bus strike is over, and we finally had our zone conference with the Chilvilcoy missionaries. Quite a few of them actually had their quarterly interviews with Presidente, as well. He will do the rest of the interviews over the next few weeks as he has plans to travel to various places in campo.
While waiting for the interviews, the missionaries played Book of Mormon baseball on the chalkboard and entertained us with various renditions of the church hymns. Here is a little sample:
El invierno llego anoche. Tengo el sentimiento que va a quedarse no como el día súper frío algunas semanas atrás. Cuando salimos de la casa esta mañana hacia 12C pero cuando llegamos en Chivilcoy dos horas después hacia 5C.
Apagamos la califacion y algunos de nosotros nos quedamos nuestros abrigo. Entonces el paro de los colectivos termino y por fin tuvimos nuestra conferencia con los misioneros de Chivilcoy.
También, algunos de ellos tuvieron sus entrevistas trimestrales con el Presidente. El va a hacer las entrevistas con los otros sobre las próximas semanas porque ya el tiene planes de viajar a algunos lugares en campo.
Mientra esperamos sus entrevistas, los misioneros jugaron Libro de Mormón béisbol en la pizarra y nos divirtieron con algunas rendiciones de los himnos. Acá hay un ejemplo pequeño...
