sister and elder cook

We started out the day learning the news that there is yet another strike in Buenos Aires. Over 100 roadblocks on all the major freeways and highways were planned. It was ultimately decided that the North mission would have their own conference and that the South Mission and the CCM would meet with our mission at the Ramos Mejia building. Suddenly, everyone had to be in route right that moment, for a meeting that would take place two and a half hours earlier than planned.
Even avoiding the known locations, we had a really difficult time getting to the building ourselves. Three lanes of freeway were bulging at the seams with six lanes of cars. We arrived just minutes before the start.
Elder Cook shook the hand of each and every missionary…even the late arrivals were asked to go to the back when he finished speaking. Both Sister Cook and Elder Cook shared their love and messages with us. It was an extraordinary opportunity for us as a mission and we basked in the joy of what we experienced afterwards in an impromptu meeting for just our mission.
We knew from the get-go that we had a couple dozen missionaries too far afield to come in. Of course, they were missed and we will do our best to share the message. We appreciate their love and commitment to their local members and area.


Empezamos nuestro día y supimos que había otra vez otra paro. Mas de 100 paros por todas las calles mejores y las autopistas. Ultimamente fue decidido que la misión norte tendría su propia conferencia y la misión sur y el CCM se reunirían con nuestra misión en la capilla de Ramos Mejía. De repente, todos necesitan estar en camino justo en el momento para una reunión que pasaría dos horas y media antes del plan original.

Aunque viajando por otras calles tuvimos muchos problemas viajando a la capilla. Tres carriles de la autopista estaban llenos con seis carriles de auto. Llegamos justo antes de empezar.

E Elder Cook le dio saludos a cada misionero...los que llegaron tarde tuvieron la oportunidad después de la reunión. Ambos la Hermana Cook y el Elder Cook compartieron su amor y sus mensajes con nosotros. Fue una oportunidad extraordinaria para nosotros como una misión y estuvimos llenos de gozo en una reunión impromtu después solamente para nuesta misión.

Sabemos desde el principio que tuvimos algunos misioneros lejos en el campo que no pudieron asistir.

Por supuesto los extrañamos  y vamos a hacer todo lo posible para compartir los mensajes. Les agradecemos su amor y compromiso a sus miembros locales y sus áreas.
