at the feet of an apostle

DSC09883

The seminar was held under the direction of Elder Ballard with Elder Rasband as the senior member of the presidency of the seventy accompanying him. I don’t think that I can adequately explain what a privilegeDSC09884 it was to be instructed at the feet of those two great men. Elder Ballard, while not exactly the author of Preach My Gospel, could safely be called the producer of Preach My Gospel and it was truly edifying to be inspired by his insight and feel his great love.

Fortunately, there was an opportunity to take some photos:

The first one is the group that we started with in the MTC in Provo. This will be our last mission president’s seminar and that was just a little hard to wrap our minds around. We have loved growing in the gospel as we have served with these wonderful people.

Below, Presidente is standing with Elder Gonzalez. He is the Area President. The next picture is the area presidency with their wives and Elder Rasband with his wife and Elder Ballard with his wife and their two daughters that accompanied them on this trip, which actually began for them in Ecuador a few days ago.

DSC09898We all agreed that this conference was one of the most spiritual experiences we have ever had.

I do not want to say that these are the words those who taught us. Some of them are and some of them are the impressions that I had while learning from them. I hope you will enjoy this very short summary.

This day has been prophesied for many generations and

we are in the midst of it.

Missionaries are the voice of the Good Shepherd.

Their voices must be heard.

We need to escalate in our minds the importance of

hastening the work.

We need to feel the urgency and expectation of the Lord.
