We started early this morning in Merlo. When Presidente finished with the interviews here, he went to Ramos to continue with other scheduled interviews there.
The missionaries are doing three practices during the training. They have one 45 minute period where they teach the Law of Chastity or the Word of Wisdom. They give a 20 minute lesson and then we talk about it and sometimes they will re-practice part of the lesson. Sometimes, however, they give part of the lesson for the other subject that they didn’t choose the first time.
During a second 45 minute practice, they teach either baptism or repentance.
The third period lasts half an hour and during that time the missionaries practice how to begin and end a lesson. In the mission we have 6/7 points that they should cover with an investigator before beginning a lesson and 4 points that they should cover before ending a lesson. (Whether they have 6 or 7 points depends on if the investigator already has a baptismal goal or not.)
Needless to say, we were a couple of hours behind Presidente arriving in Ramos before we joined up for a late lunch and other mission business this afternoon.
