good times at the temple

In spite of the continual rain, I know that our missionaries have been coming to the Temple with families that they are teaching all during week. I went on an official tour with my Spanish teacher on Wednesday and met up with a couple of them.
Today, Presidente was called away from lunch to do a VIP tour. When we went back to the CCM a few hours later to retrieve his lunch, the cafeteria was busy with the missionaries that live there engaged in P-day activities.
Here was a group playing ping pong and there was a group cheering them on. Here was an amazing violinist and there was an equally talented piano accompanist. Here was a random elder inspired to sing, and in a moment of pause, all of us clapped, acknowledging a truly memorable musical performance.
I was more than a little bit nervous today, when the wind started gusting while the thunder pounded and the lightning cracked. However, most of the people in the tent seemed unbothered by the noisy elements and continued to engage in whatever activities they were pursuing at the moment. Let’s just say that all that noise reminded me quite of bit of the noises that precede storms and tornadoes in Florida. All was well though, and the afternoon proceeded much more quietly than the morning.

Brianna was interviewed regarding her experience in the Temple. She was a little bit nervous “officially” speaking Spanish, but did a great job.

It has been interesting to talk with people from all over the world and my English came in handy again…lol…talking with a gentleman from Germany.

A pesar de la lluvia continua, yo se que nuestros misioneros han estado viniendo al Templo con familias que ellos están enseñando esta semana. Fui a un tour oficial con mi maestra de castellano el miércoles y encontré algunos de ellos.

Hoy el Presidente fue llamado a hacer un tour VIP cuando estábamos almorzando. Cuando fuimos al CCM algunas horas después, la cafetería estaba ocupada con misioneros del CCM haciendo cosas de P-day.

Acá había un grupo jugando ping pong y allá había un grupo allentandolo. Acá había un violinista increíble y allá había un pianista con talento igual. Acá había un Elder cantando y en un momento de pausa todos nosotros auplaudimos para un tributo de una experiencia musical impresionante.

Estaba muy nerviosa hoy cuanto el viento empezó, mientras el trueno sonó y los relámpagos rompieron. Sin embargo, la mayoría de la gente adentro de la carpa no parecieran molestos por los ruidos fuertes y continuaron haciendo sus propias actividades. Digamos que todos los ruidos me parecieron como los ruidos que vienen antes de tormentas fuertes en Florida Pero todo pasa bien y la tarde anduvo mucho mas tranquila que la mañana.

Brianna tuvo una entrevista oficial acerca de su experiencia adentro del Templo. Ella estaba un poca nerviosa hablando castellano per anduvo bien.

Ha sido interesante hablar con la gente de muchos países en el mundo. Mi ingles fue útil otra vez hablando con un hombre de Alemania.
