We have been planning for weeks. Today, President Eyring, Elder Ballard and Elder Christofferson are coming to Ramos Mejia. Everything has been cleaned and beautified at the chapel. We made a map to accommodate the missionaries coming from the three Buenos Aires missions and the CCM. This afternoon before all of the arrivals Presidente did practices with the usher/elders reading the map and directing the missionaries to the appropriate pews. Each zone has their own location.
And then the missionaries started coming.
The police showed up as well when one of the neighbors called in a suspicious package at the church. Really, there were no suspicious persons nor packages at the church. So, we assured them that we were fine.
I took pictures of our missionary groups until I was told that I couldn’t take anymore. It was an especially good day to be an hermana because all of the hermanas got to sit in the first three rows of the chapel.
As I was sitting waiting for the meeting to begin, I thought how many times I have sat on the stand in the Ramos Mejia chapel. I wasn’t sitting on the stand today, and I was a little jealous thinking, I wish I could see what Presidente sees today—all those missionaries faces. Almost as soon as I had that thought however, it was followed by another one--I am so thrilled to be a part of this group, this missionary force.
We are incredibly blessed to be able to meet with the apostles. We are incredibly blessed to have apostles on the earth today. I listened thinking what the families of these missionaries would like to hear about the meeting, and I will share that, but, I hope that your individual missionaries will share with you their impressions and maybe even some of the personal revelation that they received from this marvelous experience.
A scripture was shared from DC 6:9—…keep my commandments, and assist to bring forth my work, according to my commandments, and you shall be blessed.
We were taught about the power in our hands. We have been called to serve and angels are helping us. According to the scriptures, in reality, we are the companions of the apostles. The Lord can and does send us on His errand and we need to feel the power that He has blessed us with to accomplish His purposes.
We were told that He knows what we can do for Him, and He matches our talents with what He needs for others.
When the meeting was over, the other three mission groups were dismissed by zone by their Presidents. Then, when only our missionaries were left, Presidente went up to the pulpit and asked me to come up to the stand. He then said that now we are left with the best missionaries in all the world and a huge cheer went up. He asked everyone to come forward and all our missionaries were sitting together. It was such a beautiful sight and and I couldn’t hold back the tears. I think that I couldn’t love this group of missionaries anymore than I do, but that love just continues to grow and increase in intensity.
We talked a little bit about our plans for tomorrow, including taking a mission photo!
Then everyone headed back to wherever they are sleeping tonight, full of the Spirit, which blessed us in abundance.
Hemos estado planeando hace semanas. Hoy, el Presidente Eyring, el Elder Ballard y el Elder Christofferson van a venir a Ramos Mejía. Limpiamos todo lo pusimos lindo en la capilla. Hacemos un mapa para ayudarnos con los misioneros que van a venir de las tres misiones de Buenos Aires y el CCM. Esta tarde antes de la llegada, el Presidente hizo practicas con los acomodadores elderes, leyendo el mapa y dirigiendo los misioneros a sus sillas. Cada zona tiene su propio lugar.
Y entonces los misioneros empezaron a venir.
La policía vino también cuando alguno de los vecinos los llamo acerca de una caja mala en la iglesia. En serio, no había ninguna persona mala ni tampoco cajas malas en la iglesia Entonces les dijimos que estábamos bien.
Saque fotos a grupos de nuestros misioneros hasta que alguien me dijo que no puedo sacar mas. Fue un buen día para ser una hermana porque todas de ellas estaban sentadas en los primos bancos de la capilla.
Mientras estaba esperando que empiece la reunión, pensé acerca de cuantas veces me he sentado en el estand de Ramos Mejía No estaba sentado allá hoy, y estaba un poco celosa porque quería ver lo que el Presidente puede ver--todas las caras de los misioneros. Casi inmediatamente sin embargo tuve otro pensamiento--estoy muy animada de ser una parte de este grupo, este equipo de misioneros.
Estamos muy bendecidos de tener la oportunidad de conocer los apóstoles. También, estamos muy bendecidos de tener apóstoles en la tierra hoy. Escuche con la idea, que va a escuchar las familias de estos misioneros acerca de esta reunión y voy a compartir eso, pero, espero que su propio misionero vaya a compartir sus impresiones y tal vez algunas de sus revelaciones personales que ellos recibieron de esta experiencia maravillosa.
Un escritura fue compartida de DC 6-9
Estábamos enseñado acerca del poder en nuestras manos. Hemos sido llamados a servir y los ángeles estan ayundandonos. Las escrituras dicen que en realidad somos compañeros de los apóstoles. El Salvador puede y nos manda a su propósito y necesitamos sentir el poder que el nos ha bendecido para cumplir con sus propósitos.
Nos dijeron que El sabe que podemos hacer para El y El combina nuestros talentos con las cosas que El necesita para otros.
Cuando termino la reunión cada Presidente de las otras tres misiones les dieron permiso para irse. Entonces, cuando tuvimos solamente nuestros propios misioneros, el Presidente fue al púlpito y me pidió de venir al estand. Después el le dijo que ahora tenemos los mejores misioneros en todo el mundo y dimos un gran aliento. El les pidió que tengan adelante entonces tuvimos a todos nuestros misioneros juntos. Fue una vista linda y no pude contener mis lagrimas. Pienso que no pude amar a este grupo de misioneros mas, pero el amor continua creciendo y aumentando en fuerza. Hablamos un poquito acerca de nuestros planes mañana, incluso una foto de la misión juntos.
Después, todos regresaron a donde ellos están durmiendo esta noche, lleno del Espíritu, la cual nos bendijo con abundancia.
