refuerzos!

DSC00081

I felt pretty emotional at the airport this morning watching the April Refuerzos come out of the Customs Hall. It must have been contagious because I heard Presidente’s voice break as he was giving them a little welcome at the airport.

We went directly to the CCM where our North American refuerzos received a tour of the temple from the architect, who is back to complete the last work before the dedication.

We were also very pleased to pick up our Latin refuerzos.DSC00095
We have changed our plans for the refuerzos this time around. We are grateful to receive so many, but we have divided them to facilitate a better orientation for each group, not to mention that doing 22 interviews takes a really, really long time.
The north Americans were dropped off at the mission office where they will have a bite to eat and a little rest before beginning their orientation this afternoon. I can tell you that the sleep that you get on the airplane is not quality rest.DSC00098DSC00101
The Latins came with us on a driving tour of the city and a stop at the parque, Tres de Febrero. After lunch, we came to the mission home for orientation and interviews. Tomorrow, we will swap groups.DSC00099
The missionaries from both groups will meet up again tonight for dinner.

Mañana vamos a cambiar grupos.
